Labor Day Weekend 2010

Labor Day weekend we went to Houston to see Jason and Angie. While we were there we gave them our wedding present, a new gas grill. It had to be assemble so Jason and I put it together Saturday morning. Saturday night Nita cooked some deer meat and we had mashed potatoes with gravy, butterbeans and sweet corn off the cobb. It was all very very tasty. Thank you Aunt Net and Naaman for the deer meat. Sunday Jason seasoned up some pig ribs early and by lunch they were ready to cook on their new grill. They were great.

Meeting the Family

Back in July Anita and I went to Houston to visit Jason and his bride to be Angie. While we were there they invited Angie's Mom and Dad and stepmother over for dinner. It was good to meet Angie's folks, they were very nice and we had a good time. Jason and Angie prepared a excellent meal.

Bridal Show

Back in August Anita and I had a booth at a Bridal Show in West Monroe. It was on a Sunday and opened early so it was alittle slow at first. Over all I beleive we we had a good day. We spoke to a lot of brides to be. Since then we have booked a wedding for Feb,2011 and have a good possible booking for March.

Let it Snow

WOW!, it was a winter wonderland this pass Friday. It started snowing late Thursday afternoon February 12th and snowed all night through Friday morning until about 10:30 am. We had about four to six inches. It did not drop below freezing so the roads were covered with snow and it was just a slushy mess. I went on to work, Nita was suppose to work Friday but all schools were closed. Nita took these great pictures of how it looked around the house. It is Sunday now and 90% of the snow is gone, it warm up into the high 40s yesterday. We were lucky, the power did not go off. A few thousand people back to the west weren't so lucky. We did enjoy seeing the snow and now we are ready for spring! Come on Spring do your thing and warm us up!

Home for the Holidays

Jason, Jessica, Brian, James and Katie came home for the Christmas Holidays. It was really wonderful having them here. Jessica and her bunch were able to be here 13 days, but it seem like it was just a few days. Jason had a chance to hunt deer with Daniel while here, no luck. We had a great christmas!

Anita and I went home to North Carolina to be with my side of the family during Thanksgiving week. We had a great time. It went by so fast. I did not take a lot of pictures, mostly video.
