More of the Girls Night Out

GIRLS NIGHT OUT

Friday, Jan. 30 the Holly Ridge Bunch (Brocks, Barrier, Rawls, Simmons, and Grahams) had their first Girls night out. We had it at our house and 10 came. Nett, Glenda, Teresa, Rechelle, Remona, Angeleah, Leanne, Danni, and Aubrey. We had two game tables going. One was playing hand and foot and one was playing mexican train and chicken foot. We had creamy tacos, spinach and artichoke dip, 2 kinds of quiche, cream cheese with hot pepper jelly served on bagel bites, all kinds of chips and crackers, fantasy fudge, hello dollies and trash (chex mix). We had a great time and the last ones left at around 1:00a.m. We all decided we will have a girls night out on the last Friday of every month at 6:30 at the home of whoever volunteers. Our next one will be at Glenda's.

What's Happening in January 2009

Jason came in for the weekend. He arrived Friday around six so we invited Samuel, Dustin, Angeleah, Little John and Leann over for supper and play Chicken foot.We had a fun time and really enjoyed their company. Saturday we when out to Nita's daddy. We took a beef roast and had mashed potatoes and butter beans. It was soooo good! Sunday Jason, Anita, Net, Naaman and I went to church with Oscar and Ms Jean. Afterwards we all went to Mike's Catfish House and had some great food. While there we took a few pictures. Here they are ,click on link.

Alpine Trip

The week between Christmas and New Years my mother Odell "Bubba" , my sister Jackie and her husband Larry met Anita and I at Alpine, Al. This was the first time in two years that we had a chance to see each other (except for my mother) This location is about half way for all of us, they live in North Carolina. We stayed at the Dogwood Hills Resort several miles in the country side close to a big lake. It was very peaceful and pretty area and I'm sure even prettier during the summer time. We had a great time just sitting around relaxing, playing games, watching movies and just enjoying each others company. We did have a day in Oxford for shopping. Bubba and I went to the Talladega International Speedway one day and enjoyed the sights and history of the speedway.
