Halloween Visitors

Last night we had a few visitors > We had an LSU Cheer Leader which should have been Sleeping Beauty. Then a skeleton and his side kicks came by and demand candy or they would stay for the night. We of course were afraid that might happen so we gave them candy and they hurried off to their next victims.

Labor Day Weekend

Here are a few pictures from this pass Labor Day Weekend.

This past Labor Day Weekend was a very good one. Jason and Angie came up from Houston to be with us. They got in early Saturday afternoon and later that day Jason went dove hunting with his cousins. I made Mexican Chicken for supper and we played games afterwards. Sunday Jason and Angie went to the Civil War park in Vicksburg, first time for Angie. Nita and I went out to Oscars and spent the day just relaxing and eating a watermelon. Monday we grilled pork tender loin and made potato salad with baked beans. While the meal was cooking we played Wahoo. Close and exciting game, down to the roll of the dice. We played as teams, Jason and Angie just barely beat Nita and me. Just before they left for Houston we took a few pictures. That was a very fast three days!!!

Knock, Knock. Who is there ?

This big spider decided to set up just in front of our bay window. It was OK catching the flys and other bugs but after she caught a couple of birds and a squirrel we thought we better do something. We took her picture and she got mad and left.
Just kidding, only one bird.
Ha!, Ha!

Today, July 25th, we took Daddy out to celebrate his 87th birthday. His birthday is the 2nd of August, but we will be out of town. We were going to the Waterfront Grill at Black Bear Country Club, (Poverty Point Lake) north of Delhi. We called for reservations and they were closed today. After much deliberation we decided to go to Ronin Habachi Steak House and Sushi Bar.
Our chief, Peter, was very funny and extremely nimble. We had filet mignon and grilled shrimp with salad, soup, grilled vegetables, and the best fried rice I have ever had. Everything was so delicious. The staff came out and brought Daddy a big platter of Ice Cream with cherries and whipped cream and a candle on top. They sang Happy Birthday to him. I told him to be careful when he blew his candle out and not lose his teeth. We all had a great evening. It was good to be together.

GIRLS NIGHT OUT / APRIL & MAY

April 24th we had our girls' nite out at Angeleah's house. I forgot the camera so no pictures.
We had a small turnout because Rechelle went into the hospital 2 weeks early and delivered her sweet and pretty baby girl. She named her Renia. Nette and Teresa was at a women's conference. Angeleah, Anita, Leanne, Glenda, Melanie, and Mrs. Duncan had a great time. We played Mexican train and ate sausage bread, spinach dip with several kinds of chips, cheese ball, turtle squares, and butterscotch squares. We all had lots of fun!

May 29th we had our girls' nite out at Leanne's house. I forgot the camera again. Leanne, Angeleah, Nette, Anita, Glenda, Teresa, Stephanie, Rechelle, Melanie, Mrs. Duncan, and Delene had a wonderful time. We had a lot of laughs while playing mexican train. Leanne served us
taco chicken quesadillas with cheese, lettuce, tomato, jalepeno, olives, sour cream and the best guacamole. We had dirt cake and 2 types of pound cake. Everything was delicious. We all had a good time and we went home around midnight.

Mother's Day 2009

Life passes by so fast, should we ever realize the concept we would stop, take a moment and add one one more hug, one more kiss, one more I love you! Anita is and has been a wonderful mother, wife and friend. I thank God for all three in my life. This past Mother's Day I treated my lovely wife to lunch at Outback Steak House and a movie. She told me she had a great time being with me. I'm so lucky! I love you Darling!
